Well it’s 2 hours into day 1

of this our 150 ish days around this,  our wonderfull world… of course its a wonderfull world Pete … or is it an all you can drink stupor so far! SNS … if it’s put in front of me it would be rude to say no!!!! We are currently sitting 32000 feet above the ocean heading on a 4 hour flight and then having a 3 hour stopover in Fiji,  prior to flighting the final 11 hours to San Fran later this evening.

So 1 bubbles in the lounge before we take off, 1 bubbles in our seats waiting to take off, 2 glasses of Justin Cab Sauv from somewhere in the US with ✈️ food lunch, Ok the US is a big place so a bit more info on the wine list could have been helpful Fiji Airway's! and then after my desert of Fijian Purini it was a fairly generous glass of Hennessy V.S Cognac.

My dear friend Joe, Fiji Airs Cognac may have been bigger but your 30 year old last night was simply superb.
So size doesn't matter!!

After a beautiful dinner last night with Joe & Robbie, a smashing breakfast at Peter & Yvonne this morning, all that was needed for this our first in flight lunch was a Couscous Salad and Pumpernickel roll.

But then, there on the menu was a Fijian desert… how could i say no, all we are seeing of Fiji is the lounge as it’s only a stopover so bring on the desert i say.

Steamed coconut caramel pudding, vanilla anglaise, salted caramel mousse, roasted pineapple with the cutest little coconut twist. Day one food coma.
The pudding .. moist … but not to sticky, the anglaise, just runny enough to enhance the pudding but not to flood it or take over, the mousse foam was as light as a feather, with a salty dark smokey flavour that would sit well in any international whisky bar! and as for the roasted pineapple, it was pure bliss, the roasted pineapple added that bitter strength that the sweetness of this dish needed. So my friends thats the start of the food porn in writing … Hot and Steamy …  so Pete do you think that the cognac is kicking in then. πŸ˜‚

Sydney To San Francisco

                               30 mins till take off!!
Out of Sydney to San Francisco via Fiji.

Travelling light, 2 carry on’s, 1 x back pack and a toiletry bag total 26kg. + one under the plane with pillows, books and disposable holy πŸ˜‚ undies … yeh no washing for a month!! That one case will be empty soon so space for buying fun stuff. Well thats it for now love to all πŸ’šπŸ€ πŸ’œ πŸ‘©πŸ»‍🍳

(mr. google says that Lyon is the capital for all things food in France and bold enough to say that Lyon is the food capital of the WORLD,
that a big statement mr G, so we will just have to check it out!)

Lyon just has to be on our RTW 25 trip, I do love to experience different food cultures.

After the few nights in Lyon, I'm thinking my tummy full!! we will hit the train tracks again this time another hour further south to Avignon in Provence to check out their food and wine scene!
The Provence wine region is know for it rose, red & whites and stretches from the Mediterranean to the Alps.

30 Days Till Take Off

OMG 1 month to go! the countdown is on, time is fast coming around again for Sandy and I to hit the

✈️ πŸš‚ & 🚘

I do have to warn you that my spelling has not improved over the past few years since our last BIG trip away … but what has changed is that Sandy has got herself a super-duper new iPad and well lucky for you and me it’s got all the bells and whistles! So on this RTW 25 section of my blog at least the spelling mistakes will be eliminated ... well reduced a lot anyway! That said it won’t stop me making up words! using bad grammar, putting some of these ’ in the wrong places and a swear word or two, I will rambling on & on & on, not always using full stops or just using way too many of them ... and I will throw in heaps of these funky little guys !!! but just for a dramatic effect !!! but just go with it! and come along on another of my blog rides with us.
Just remember as you read my blog … “I write like I speak”.
Full speed ahead, lots of dribble! but mostly without breathing !!!…

Sure my beautiful Sandy will post all the sweet little niceties on
πŸ’œ Facebook πŸ’œ
But for all the nitty gritty … raw and down to earth stuff my Blog is where it’s at!

I hope you enjoy this our RTW 25 Blog πŸ’š πŸ’œ
