Well to start we have to mention the Californian Poppies and if ever you have grown these in Australia stand back these guys love to be social and breed like rabbits so the edges of the roads here are a golden carpet of colour in early spring.
There has to be a mention for the Californian Bungalow, the streets of Napa are lined with them. The dry land gardens are popular and necessary here as the summers get into the low 40 deg also.
There will have to be a visit to a California Diner soon! And my new friends have recommended Mels when we get back to San Francisco.
And there has to be friendly Californian locals that insist that my Aussie hat suits them better and that I need a new tea shirt with Californian 1972 OP sport logo on it so I fit in! Never turn down a free tea shirt but I still need my hat back please 😂
