Have arrived to The Candlelight Inn in Napa and what a cute looking place it is. A bit Tudor with a hint of Art Nouveau and the tall roof peaks bent up and out with an asian influence. Originally built in the 1920’s and owned by a US Postal Officer, today it is an 11 room B&B. Our room was at the back overlooking the 82deg F heated pool so the morning and afternoon swim's are terrific.
Got to say that all the beds thus far in California have been super soft and comfy like sleeping on clouds, big plush pillows and the linen thread count is off the scale.
The bathroom with its disco colour changing night light was spacious. But the shower its self was just another in a long line of international showers that we have experienced over the years and you sometime need a PhD to operate!
I need to pay more attention to my toilet paper presentation back home @ The Retreat
The pool was a wonderfull way to relax after a hard day wine tasting Napa famous drops, and accessible too with the stairs and handrails.
The said pool is surrounded by 100 year old redwoods that are FREE to look at! … in all the National Parks to see the majestic Redwood was like investing in owning that said forrest! But with our travel $ having to last the distance we have opted to spend our $ on drinking … oh … I mean sampling Napa wines instead. 🥴 🥴
Ohh and a very couple of fine samples it was!
Rich dark Cab Sauv … Napa Wine Heaven.
