Now I have to say that this is a new taste sensation that my taste buds were just so over joyed to experience at Hop Creek Pub in Browns Valley Napa.
A ever so slightly sweet cookie dough cooked off in boiling water and baking soda, then they are brushed with butter and sprinkled with salt and baked while hot add making a candy salt … I know … blows my mind how they did the salt! It was not the typical hard crunch of rock salt but it was like a soft boiled candy salt. The pretzel had a soft bread mouth feel and with the exciting sweet salty hit and the honey mustard dressing was pure happiness in a bite.
Team it with a local IPA beer and follow with half a spicy jalapeño burger it was an afternoon well spent under the trees in a Californian beer garden.
