Whats the point of hiring a car if you don't go for drive, so over that last 6 days we have clocked up around 530km ( well in the mornings before it was wine tasting time!!) We have traveled north to Clear Lake where we meet Brian at the old bar and then we did a drive around the non tourist drive over roads less traveled to see Napa valley more traditional vineyards and loved how they just disappear over the hills.
Heading thought the mountains again was fun driving albeit with some very tight bends, narrow sections and very windy bits but all adds to the experience of driving on the right! Or wrong side of the road.
We also took a drive a bit further west where the landscape started to get a bit more arid and the eagles circled above.
Here in California its amazing how many 🦅 there are in the skies so talking to locals its a spring thing where they move in and take up residence.
A bit further west is where the trees took on a whole spooky look with lichen dripping off the limbs, thank goodness it was a sunny day with blue sky's as if it was misty and night time I'm sure it is a haunted forest 👻 👻
Back around Lake Hennessey before we headed back to Napa.
For … you guessed it, a drop more Napa 🍷
