Kelowna in British Columbia

Here it is call BC for short.
The town of Kelowna in BC sitting on Lake Okanagan,
we first saw it on a movie some time ago and the boardwalk was what attracted us both.
We knew we just wanted too one day walk on that timber
boardwalk.

It went for ever on the town side of the lake and took you to loads of amazing places, it was just out from our hotel so got to experience it every moment we had.
The boardwalk weaved its way to the wild bird area and a quiet sitting space away from the city to sit and ponder and watch the birds do their thing!

Wild geese

Hard to see but in the distance an eagle sits on a nest.

The town is a pretty town and so clean

Even the toilet buildings are modern and beautiful!

References to the traditional Okanagan people was also lovey to see as a tourist wandering the boardwalks.

Overlooking the “billabong” was where we set up camp and
had dinner by the fire most nights.
This place did stunning food that truly tasted so good and with a large range of BC wine to try these two little Bilbies moved in.

Crispy Rice Bites
Sushi rice packed into slices and fried off to add some crunch
topped with ahi tuna (yellowfin tuna) and a spicy mayo
With a dusting of furikake and some yuzu soy to dip into, these have gone into the food memory and will be making these back home.

Mission Hill Cabernet Sauvignon our favourite red.
