We did Love Calistoga

What a beautiful little historic town nestled snugly under the cedar clad rugged mountains.

The street tree are huge!

The main street, with the rugged mountains behind and spring is now showing in the trees

The cute houses down the side streets

But turn the pic to black and white and it could be a great set for a Murder Mystery set under those majestic trees

A rusty truck out the front of Calistoga Mineral Water Company

The whole area is hot springs which bought the tourist way back when and still today it’s a huge tourist area. Below picture the under ground steam escapes behind residential areas and when I was walking early this morning you could see it coming up thought the street grates.

On the other side of the town was Old Faithful Geyser which was declared one of the only three “faithful” geysers in the world because of its regular eruptions. There she blows every 40 mins or so and what a great view we had.

Cute little guy, he was preforming for me running up and down tree.

  1. Just like my farm at Tambar Springs, which backed onto the mountain a constant water supply, which was great during a drought.
Not under that pressure though, WOW what a special place for you to have visited, no wonder the wine was good, all that fresh mineral water. xx
