Arrived into Savona in Northern Italy and an Italian smile hits our faces again.
THE BEER definitely worked to relieve the stress
of the train day!
So now let’s find a little spot away from the crowds and eat our first Italian dinner.
Pasta and red wine ahhhhh … we have missed you.
We have not been back to Italy since 2018.
Simply little family restaurant in a back ally away from the crowds was just perfect.
Had a pepper and parmesan and the wild boar pasta and it certainly hit the spot.
No where near Chianti … but the bottle display on the wall added to the overall Italian look.
Opted not for a Chianti and after the train trip I still need a bigger red to help the trauma dissipate!!!
And there it is, the Italian yellow appartments … it is as if someone drew a line on the ground between France and Italy and deemed it “not a colour for France” but step one step over the boarder into Italy and there the yellow is loud and proud.
Had a great chaianti in Bergamon up the top of a hill beside an amazing little church, alfresco style outside a quaint little cafe, whilst being serenaded by a wonderful gentleman playing a violin.
ReplyDeleteah the memories.
