Yesterday when we arrived at the very casually run agritourismo we found out that we did not have a bed!
A very typical Italian look started to happened, the one where the shoulders go back and tiny unformed male chests tries to pops out …ohh and the hand gestures to basically
say, go away !!!!
Back to the car I go for a quick chat with the “information mistress” the one, who printed out in Australian all confirmations and email requests just in case and Woo Hoo … it would appear kind signor, that we do! or at least we SHOULD have a bed tonight!!
With his Italian shoulders now in sudden recline, the scrawny little chest back to it’s original sunken insignificant position.
The sudden ability to talk in english happened and hand gesture wained … saying they were so sorry and yes it was their mistake … please give us a couple of hours to
create a bed room!
This will be good I’m thinking!
As I am now the master of the conversation and Italian gestures I pop out my actual chest in thankfulness and gratitude.
So back to the farm after a couple of hours of driving in the beautiful hills site seeing we now have the keys and all the comforts of grandma’s feather bed and all her nine religious pictures to watch over our every move!
Apparently Grandma was heading to the cooler mountains of somewhere sometime next week … so someone, on her behalf decided that today was a good day for her to be going on holidays 😂
Cool story Hansell.
