So after chatting to one of our waiters at breakfast this morning apparently there is a much bigger story behind the beautiful umbrella shaped pine trees, the 50 year old beach town of Milano Marittima where we are staying, Benito Mussolini of the Republican Fascist Party and what I all ways thought was the food region of Emilia-Romagna but in fact it is two feuding food regions Emilia AND Romagna … and I’m thinking that our waiter this morning comes from Romagna!!!!
So some more chatting is needed and I think some research as it sounds like a very interesting story and time in history.
