This ancient desert is from the Ayutthaya period Ayutthaya was 60 miles north of Bangkok and was the capital of Thailand from 1350 until it was ransacked by the Burmese in 1767. For four centuries it was one of Asia's greatest cities.
Thanks mr Google, Sandy and i had these in 1991, now i have the info and correct name we can hunt them down. This was one of Sand's favorite so let the hunt begin, mr Google tells me that they are on every street so won't be too long before the crisp little sweet delights are talking to our taste buds again.
