Part 2 ... and our next foodie adventure

Is a cruise into the bottom of Thailand and the top of Malaysia.
This is a shorter cruise compared with the Indian cruise as this one is only for 8 days.

1st day was a sea day and we sailed up the Strait of Malacca into Thailand for 2 days (7&8 Jan) where we had more time to explore as we were only there 2 weeks ago being the 1st port of the Indian cruise.
The ship set anchor in the harbor overlooking Patong Beach and we were transported from the ship by tender boats to the beach front, it was a tourist hot spot of souvenirs and bars so not for us.
We did find a quiet spot to watch the sunset over the ship in the harbor and that made up for all the noise, tourist and filth of the town behind us.
One always has to find the good in all places we visit.

A visit to the food markets and there we found mangosteens.

Sadly stillllll looking for the crepes!!

Interesting tropical fruit as well as vegetables that we have never seen before.

We also found frogs, water snakes and indescribable creatures of the sea… hmmmm now we are in the food of nightmares department.
