Looking For 2 night By The Sea.

After one night at the little B&B we travel the first couple of hours following the small coastal road with the Adriatic Ocean off to our left as we head further south. It's a pretty drive with the ocean and villages all the way.
Heading onto the autostrada as we now are passing a huge area of national parks and the local roads are just a bit too rough for the low black sleek one.
The traffics is already getting sparse and the autostrada is now down to 2 lanes each way.

As it is again getting later in the afternoon we start to look for a place to stop for the next two nights and would love to just perch ourselves right next to that beautiful Adriatic Ocean that we are seeing as we drive, it just looks so inviting.
We are now getting closer to our final destination for the two cooking schools as today we have travelled another 285km so that will only leave just 50km to the 1st class.

Well hmmmm it was a bit of a challenge to find a bed and let's just say that after each inspection I had to make some sort of lame excuse as to why it was not suitable. Perhaps we have been a bit spoiled over the last month!!

But really, what can one say when a room has no window, and stinks of smoke... "But sir it is our best room and for you tonight it is our nonsmoking room"... Hello !!!!
"My wife is in the car I shall check with her and get back to you" and with a smile I'm out of there.
Several inspection several excuses...The cars is looking like a good sleeping option at this stage I can tell you...
We did have a great day with many a laugh and saw some great authentic accommodation but now all we both want is somewhere clean and smoke free to stay.

Then as we round yet another roundabout, on a bill board covered with little Italian signs I think I see a small sign for what I thought was a 4 star Resort and Spa and a small faded arrow pointing further south. Now don't get too excited the last few places were all star rated but don't think the star rating man has been down here this century. Don't get me wrong I will stay anywhere rated or not as long as it is JUST clean, with a window and smoke free...

So heading south on a very small dirt track with the Adriatic still on our left we see some white low lying building right on the water, it is like a mirage so with fingers crossed we pull up to a boom gate and a security guard folder in hand and with his list which weren't on!!

Please please please let us in, the place is huge you must have one room, the boom gate opens and he gestures for us to park in the vast car park under the shade cloth structures and then walk to the reception.
With a bit, well a lot! of pleading we convince reception that we can only stay for two nights as they are more of a weekly stopover all inclusive Italian holiday resort.

All the other crap places we looked at were around $110 a night B&B.
This place is $165 a night and includes all meals, use of the pools, the private beach, nightly entertainment, daytime entertainment, canoes, a stunning room (with several big windows) a balcony on the second floor over looking the ocean AND ALL DRINKS....do these people not realise we are Aussies and that we do like a drink or ten....
It will be tough but OK we will take the room, so with our red ID wrists bands firmly attached showing the bar staff we are "all inclusive" let's head to the bar as WE DO need a drink...
