We are shadowing the chefs this evening prior to eating at
What a informative evening we had at this little restaurant inland from the east coast and just up the road from "our"
Old Meldrum House.
I just love the country house, I can't stop taking her picture.
Now to another beautiful lady, my Sand's dressed for dinner as tonight's more of a watchy sort of kitchen affair.
Just across the green from a stunning church
Should be good, they have one of those lovely wee window sticker.
WOW
What a funky place, my sort of interiors.
You feel like you are in a night club and not a restaurant, getting some velvet padding studded ideas for The Retreat's reception.
A new outdoors gin bar may even need to find its way into
The Retreat
Silver studded 1970's vinyl never looked so good.
The inside moody scotch bar, could be a long night trying all them.
Bit of Bling
Some token tartan and silver,
No animals were shot! to create these works of art.
My sort of wall mounting.
Now its into the kitchen to have a one on one chat with some of the chefs and shadow them pre service to learn a few Scottish chefy tips.
I could tell that Sandy just so wanted to grab an apron and help.
What will be our starters
Then its off to our table to sit back and enjoy dinner.
Duck with a rich red wine sauce.
For me a highland sirloin, what a flavour bomb meat that was.
Never tasted a meat so intense with flavour ... well except for once in northern Italy which was feed on the herby grass slopes of the Swiss Alp's.
