The Hills of Hearther

Driving in the Scottish highlands to the east of Balmoral and to the west of Aberdeen and the heather is starting to come out for this

the summer season

On the sides of the roads as far as the eye can see.

 with the North Sea in the distance

I'm loving the miles of wire and bleached timber fences

Still in this area for another week, so may come back for a look again to see if we can see more of purple drifts in the distances.
