Alberto Dente

Alberto Dente from Naples was the first man in 1846 to make died packaged pasta for the fast growing commercial world wide market, his name is still used for the description of paste cooked to protection.
As Alberto was such a long difficult name for the pasta to be described to a English speaking market it was shortened to Al.
His brother in-law Alberto ( Al ) Fresco is also famous around the world.
