Italian Tunnels

On the move again, thank goodness I'm enjoying the driving ... so its further north and now only 3 more days till we hand back the car in Torino and the start of 6 days at the world convention of the Slow Food Movement.
The tunnels in Italy are amazing and you just can't get from place to place without them. We have had our fair share of tunnels on the east coast but heading north we are heading into mountainous territory with many many long tunnels. It must have been an isolated place in the old days.
