Truffle Over Load ... Nohoooo

The night of the white truffle haul Doriano,s wife Carla prepared dinner at their house with Sandy as assistant chef and it was a white truffle feast.
Family dinner for 7 Italians plus the two Aussie ring-ins was around a long table in the middle floor of the 3 story house. It was loads of the fun and translated stories helped along by Dorriano 20 year of daughter Victoria and the final stash of Aussie presents are handed around.

For Doriono's first and only grandson a fluffy koala hand puppet and his little 8 month old eye were wide with the joy and he smiled and giggled. Then for Doriano a soft kangaroo with a Aussie leather hat and when you squeeze him he says G'day Mate 'ow yar Goin ....
Very typical to us but the family just loved them.

We had a pappadella of porchini and white truffle, followed by a some egg fratarta and white truffle traditional  and amazing the smell and the flavour were both amazing. Over my time in and around this region when ever I see white truffle on the menue it's the the first thing that I order.
What a treat to have it soooo fresh and soooo in season, but the best tasting ones were the ones that Dorriano and I collected ... Well of course they were, all that blood, sweet and tears of happiness from us both.
