Dinner By The Bolsena Lake

The last couple of nights before Piobbico and truffling we were at Lake Bolsena 100 km northeast of Roma in a self contained cabin so we can have a kitchen and try out some of our new Italian recipes.

But first as we are both hanging for some spice food so the first night was a Thai Red Curry OMG .... it was great to tickle that taste bud again. The crunchy fresh vegies, yes Italians don't do the crunchy thing, it's a bit more cooked... Actually a lot more cooked....
Then the next night its back to Italian and a tomato bruschetta to start with a super cold vino blanco overlooking the lake from our veranda watching the sun set into the Tuscan sky ... hmmmmmmm.

Followed up with a Italian sausage and eggplant ragu with pappardelle pasta, with an Australia/Sandy twist and served with a fresh crunchy salad of lambs lettuce, carrot and capsicum with a lemon olive oil dressing belissimo.
