On board Koningsdam

Which is one of the new ships in the fleet of the Holland America Line.

It’s always a lucky dip when it comes to room allocation, sometimes the pictures on the net aren’t always what you get. Hit the jackpot this time, it is a fab room with loads of space, new and clean 😊 with a great deck.

We leave Amsterdam a little bit more learned and wide eyed!Floating past so many large wind turbines, green fields and up into a huge loch where we are lifted back up to sea level, wow it was a tight fit for this huge ship.

We are doing the 16 day “Iberian Adventures” starting in the naughty city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and finishing in Civitaveecchia 1 hour above Rome.

Day one is a sea day as we make our way through the English Channel via the White Cliffs of Dover heading to Portland England.

Our journey will then take us into A Coruna (Spain), Leixoes & Lisbon (Portugal)
Seville (Spain)
Gibraltar (British Territory)
Malaga + Cartegena + Barcelona + Palma De Mallorca (Spain)
Corsica (Mediterranean Island)
Livorno + Civitaveecchia (Italy)

Sandy as organized several cooking classes with locals so looking forward to what we may see and do.
