Marsala and Florio


With all this food and cooking its about time we got out of the kitchen and went wine tasting. We have two cellars that are on the hit list to visit in the ancient town of Marsala. So to start our day we head to the first cellar and the original origin of DOCG Marsala. OMG there is some many wines that come under the label of Marsala, here I was thinking that it was just the one we see in Australia that is used for making 1970's "Veal Marsala".



Just one of the food and wine tasting halls they do over 50,000 visitors each year but today just the 8 in our group got to love off season!





 
Beautiful classy tasting rooms with food and matched wines so great morning.
Got a great book on food and wine matching so that will keep me reading for several nights.
