Naro and our Guide Dog

The little town of Naro some 15km's from the Birthday Villa was a nice spot to visit and meets some locals.
This is a non tourist town so the locals love the visitors and we had several great experiences during my birthday there.
Started with a man in the square that I enquired if, where I had parked the car was OK or did I need a ticket, to that it was a what are you doing here! and lets get you a map of some of the great things to see in his Brocco town.
The town "on a hill" was first inhabited by the Arabic people and has a fortified castle on the top point of the hill. Over the years the Greek's came and the Norman so the architecture is quite varied.

The postman directed us to the church a must see.

 Plain outside stunning inside

On the front steps we meet a stray dog that took us on our next adventure

She walk with us the rest of the day, not a dog boy, but she sort of took it upon herself to show us the sights, must have been a tourist guide in a past life!

She walk us past the hundred of steps that make there way to the Castle on the hill.

Go this way Sandy, she said, less steps but it,s a steep slope!

Keep up you two! just a bit further, it's the round tower above me is where I'm taking you.

Check out the view and the Arabic castle to our right.

Coming back down the roadways are so smooth from centuries of use.

A 1E piece of pizza and shared a 2.5E local cold beer for my birthday lunch, it was rustic but had a great loo!!
Always looking for a clean loo and at 3.5E bargain, Priceless.
It was here that our Guide Dog!! left and apparently doesn't like pizza, fussy homeless dog.
