Getting Lost ... the only way to see Sicily

😊
So off on our next cooking adventures.
So it's a goodbye to the farmhouse Le chiuse di Guadagna  and all our southern cooking experience here.
11am and it 27 deg and today we reached 30 deg ... if only for
about 5 mins so autumn is starting to hit Sicily also.
Travelled 170km in 5 hours so I'm thinking we will need to be in Sicily for a year to get around the island at our current cooking pace.
The roads and infrastructure gets poorer the further south and west in Sicily we go and away from the two large cities Palermo and Medina in the north of the island.
Well it was a scenic trip that for sure thanks to Gloria 2 who was enjoying taking us to all the little roads to make sure we got to see behind the scenes! cheers, thank for that Gloria 2 their must have been a quicker way, but again, where is the fun in that!

Drive, well right through a members only country golf estate, opps sorry! it was so pretty and green with its white stone walls but surely this is not the highway Gloria 2.

Hmmmm roads getting narrower Gloria 2 are we heading onto a highway yet!

Apparently not yet! Can someone order a slasher to do a bit of road maintenance!

Gosh is that the sea again, so whats all the white in the foreground?

Hot houses filled with eggplants that went for km ... amazing

So lucky the gates went locked Gloria 2 as you have just managed to bring us right through 50km of farms and hot houses. great look at the country but nor sure that was the way to come ... what's that Gloria 2 a highway ... wow aren't you a cleaver girl!!

Now onto a highway and once we top the hill we just had to look back at all the hot house and where we had driven through.

Bliss 40min on the highway ... but apparently this highway is not going to our next agritourismo so a turn off and 30km up a small road and well now is not the time to give us the silent treatment.

So is it left up that small dirt road? which seams to say something that it is maybe closed!! dam no internet so can't Google what that sign says.

Or is it right up the other small dirt road? which also seams to say something that it is maybe closed also!!

So with a toss of a coin pending we are saved by a passing car that directs us around the hill and go past the big olive tree and look for the pair of large gates ...

Our Italian country villa for the next 4 nights.
Baglio San Nicola
About 35km to the Mediterranean Ocean on the bottom middle of the island near Naro

It got a great pool and well, room for a pony! this Villa is amazing and I can see myself enjoying my birthday here, well in and around some cooking classes ... but Sands can I have a day off tomorrow as I'm going to swim in that pool because its just looks so inviting.
