Scicli in the Hills

Scicli is just 20min up the hill from the cooking school.
We just can't seam to keep away from these ancient little towns on the hill, and this one is also built into the hills.

 

All rebuilt after the 1693 earth quake

 

 

 The painting in the church are so ancient and signs of wear as they hang over the centuries ... but how do you repair so many amazing works of art in little towns.

 

The gargoyles are so ugly but so cute also
