Exploring Western Sicily

We are now traveling and cooking around the western end of Sicily and from the north to the south is only about 120km.
The ancient city of Marsala is the wine area where Marsala comes from, and nearby is Trapani for the salt pans. It is only 30km from Marsala to Trapani so we have based ourselves to 3 locations to take in all the western area has to offer.  
This is also where the Arabic influence come in at the even more ancient town of Mazaro del Vallo with couscous and out into the Tyrrhenian Ocean for tuna, sword fish and octopus. Seafood lunches here we come
