Sightseeing In Paris

The Eiffel Tower is so big and no trip to Pariè would be complete without a visit.
We picked up a cab near our funky pad and enjoyed the 15 min ride to the tower, sure I could see it every night when we were walking on the other side of the river from our hotel but I wanted to see it up close.

Impressive is all I can say, the huge grey metal structure can be seen for km's but when you are under it with 27 million other tourist it is so cool.
We wandered around for some time and just took in the whole feel of the place. After a bit we than walked and walked and walked into and through the old sector over a bridge with marble statues and gold guided all over it and when we turned around it was the bridge that lead behind us and gave us a fantastic view of the Grand Royal Residence in the distance with the several Km long formal roads and gardens, ... neat... So we turn back around and walk past several more huge old building with massive statues from the courthouse and museum over the Champ-elese and stood in the middle of the road looking both direction for some time watching with the traffic honking and flying past.
Then got another cab to take us up to Montmartre   suburb on the hill overlooking Paris with the main church of Sacqure Cur  (sorry spelling not right) sitting proud on the hill. We grabbed a small table in the main small square and had French bagels with Pate for lunch with a wine and did some people watching, just taking in the atmosphere and the whole arty feel of this area with it many famous street artists. One artist wanted to paint a carton of me ... Yeh like that's going to happen ... truly with my comical face, the last thing I or anyone would want to see was his interpretation of ME in a cartoon!!
