Amorone and the Duomo at Orvieto

Amorone is one of my most favourite wines from Italy,

with 17% alcohol content its big.

And ....well that's just killed this weeks wine budget!!!

Thank goodness its the start of someone week ... so tomorrow my  wine allowance can starts all over again ...

Soaking in the sun, it is 12 deg. here in Orvieto

  

 As soon as we saw the Tartufo sign I couldn't sit down quick enough.

So it was Amarone with cheese and mushrooms on toast!

  Nice and generous with the truffles ... insert big smiley face.

Sooooo tasty the truffles with the scamorza cheese.

Just outside the Duomo, what a amazing building.

 

 Not a tourist in sight except or us two, had the place to ourselves.
So special.
