 The old manor dates back to the 15th century and the round tower off to the left is all that's left of the original fortification.

Our room was to be in the middle, top floor with gorgeous views back over the fields with cattle grazing ... Bliss ... BUT the 15th century stairs were just too steep so we opted for the 20th century add-on on the left under the old fortification tower.

Oh' the 20th century add-on, sounds like it is equipped with all the mod cons ... nope ... matches the below exterior new creations!!

Gee Sand's sometimes you take me to the best spots ....

Today ... well I'm in tradesman and designer meltdown.

Someone decided to create this new outdoor entertaining extension,
great in theory and perhaps on paper but, well lets just say ... not built in a tradesman like manner or keeping with the rest of the historical look!!!

There is a heritage order on the old villa but the Italian powers that be let them add this creation to the front. Hey they on a farm so maybe the council approval are yet to be completed!!
Lets just say its Italy.

 

 

No design awards given for our lean-to bedroom even if it was situated under the 15th century fortification tower!, looked more like a tile show room with an eclectic mix of floor tiles!

That bedspread and curtain bedhead finish the look ....

don't you think!!!

But don't get me started on the plastic flower, there were everywhere.

 

Anyway we are not here for their building ability, their interior or exterior decorating talents!!! we are here to make ricotta and mozzarella cheese as well as and some jam and preserving classes.
