More Lovely Locals and getting some cooking Secrets

Sandy and Rita, wow Sands have you got your high heals on!!
Another local that we meet this time in a parking lot! She figured we weren't locals so wanted to know what we were doing in her little town. The locals are just so lovely and she pointed us in the right direction for lunch and we got to see some great local sights. She was even going to take us home to her house if we didn't already have some accommodation.

In the cute town of Citta della Pieve, this town is over 1000 years old.
It was amazing to see that over the centuries how the building have changed with the adding of new on top of the old.

1321 is this little church

Great little Trattoria thanks Rita.

On such a cold day a yummy lentil and barley soup and a glass of chianti.
This soup was so delicious and well balance that it moved Sandy to do a trip advisor review and of course after a visit to the kitchen one more Tuscan lentil soup recipe. So much more complexity than even the ones we have learned in some of our cooking schools.
Just goes to show, talk to the locals and you may be surprised what secrets you learn.

And the stuffed olives we yum too BUT not a patch on Yvonne's Mums version which is burned into our memory forever.
