Fontana Del Papa

It's about 5pm by the time we pull into Fontana Del Papa, a long day over the mountains through the middle of Italy.

Summer grasses very tall, it is all so lush, if not a bit over grown.
The family here has been struggling over the past 5 years that we have been coming here and now it has all got just too difficult and the property is up for sale. Sad for us but a new chapter for them.

The rustic charm of this 600 year old country villa.

Restored between 2000 and 2006, huge job to now be selling.

We are in the hills about 30mins up from the Meditterrian Ocean just over those said hills.

The small town of Tolfa in the distance the villa is surrounded by ancient olives tree .

The terracotta tiles roofs, so Italian.

The weeds in the pavers still look so cute.

Cool and green

Its all just so stony! Italian

with views in all directions.

Back to our usual room, we are treated and feel like part of the family even the dog is happy to see us.
The cooking starts at 6.00 pm so have to blog you later.
