Moroccan 5 spice mix for Chicken according to Villa Gonatouki
Cinnamon
Cardamom
White Ginger
Nutmeg
Turmeric
But at the house off Khadiji and Hussein when I looked into the chicken spice mix I also saw juniper, fennel seeds, some sticks!
and at the top of the bowl is a long brown pitted thing!
Looks like a dried stamen from a pine cone
Hmmm still another Moroccan Mystery.
So as we are at Khadiji again tonight I will delve a little deeper.

With the spices in Morocco we have notices that the spices are all just into the pot with liquid and not toasted in a roasting pan to release the flavour like the India culture way that we are used to dealing with spices in Australia.
The long brown pitted thing looks like a type of black pepper
